Charles F. Greenlease resides in the Kansas City area with his family. In his home he has also adopted two older dogs, and two cats, all coming from shelters. While he spent many years in the Midwest he also lived for many years on the West Coast before returning home to Kansas City. He attended private schools. He is presently enduring a series of serious illnesses that have, sadly, limited his cognitive skills.
Charles was a very close personal friend to the late Virginia P. Greenlease, (1909-2001) and throughout the years and up to the time when Virginia passed away in 2001, each looked to the other for moral and spiritual support, and for strength coming through prayer, following the passing of so many members of their own respective families. Both of them shared a passion for their Roman Catholic Faith, and they often prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together. While Charles is not directly related to the Kansas City Greenlease Family, (the relationship was between Charles’ Mother and Robert Greenlease, Sr., who were close cousins, and Robert’s father who was also a Charles Greenlease). However, the founder and original author of this site was a very close and personal friend to Robert and Virginia. He assisted and encouraged Virginia as her personal advisor for many years and right up to the time she passed away in 2001.
Charles is a successful entrepreneur, and among other enterprises, he marketed and co-developed real estate; he retired from this work in 1998. He is a devout Roman Catholic. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus. And Charles has long been active in Roman Catholic Pro-life activities. In the past, he spent much of his time with animal rescue shelters helping to rehabilitate and fostering in his own home, many, many, sick and injured dogs, (and cats), and to assist in finding them permanent loving homes. He is actually quite passionate about rescuing and helping dogs!
